Each year during pantomime season, regional theatres across the country employ dwarf actors to play the parts of the Seven Dwarves in Snow White. Last year, seven professional actors who were cast in the same production agreed to be filmed for an observational documentary series. By following the lives of the dwarf actors both off and on stage the series will provides a rounded insight into their personal and professional lives as they rehearse, perform and live together. This observational documentary series will provide a thought-provoking insight into what it is like to be a person of short stature in a big world. By showing all aspects of their lives, the series will break through stereotypes and presumptions to show how this intelligent, honest and outgoing group face the challenges of ordinary life head-on, with an infectious sense of humour.
